Vet Tech Life

As a lover of animals and a girl pursuing a dream in animal medicine, I adopted the idea of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in my sophomore year of high school. At the time and living in New York, I decided to attend LaGuardia Community college for their 2 year program. Through some struggle and hard work, I graduated from their accredited veterinary technician program with an associates degree in applied sciences and completed research/small/large animal internships. I sat for and successfully passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination and obtained Veterinary Technician licensure in New York State.

Since being introduced to this medical field through my thirst for knowledge and love for animals, I continue to study and have been practicing veterinary medicine since 2006. Not a single day is the same and the love for what I do is just as strong as my 16 year old self would imagine it to be. I continue to honor my veterinary technician oath and hope to lead aspiring technicians to success through social media and fun storytelling via #TS4PetsPlay.
